| Thank you for the packages, we received both when we got out of the field the other night, they are EXCELLENT! the food is great, cliff bars, power bars, chef boy R dee, keep it coming! easy mac, cup o noodles, DVD's (used works just fine) hand sanitizer are some ideas, we have a microwave when we get back to our main sniper hooch, but no fridge. The internet here is no guarantee and I've been unsuccessfully attempting to email you for the last week and a half to let you know. This email looks promising as the system is working as it should. As for the platoon and things that are going on, Ramadi is definitely the last real insurgent stronghold in my opinion. If the city isnt pushed, then its a lost hope. We are doing everything we can thats in our control. Missions have been going well and, we havent sustained any casualties. Ken, your not getting all religious on us with your message, we pray before every mission. All the teams do it. It was kinda funny when we got your drivers license. We all hit the Lt up with, "see everyone in the community has 'slamming hair' at some point". Well once again, thanks a million and we will be getting pictures to yall as soon as possible.. We are also hoping to get the pictures on the 1/6 page of the photo album on SSA web site.. take care and talk to yall later..

We recently received two
boxes of items from the Scout/Sniper Association, that were sponsored by Northrop Grumman. On the behalf of the platoon, let me extend my heartfelt thanks for goods and the thoughts that they represent. The time, effort, and money that went into the project are valuable, but more important is the idea they represent -- that Americans at home are actively standing behind those on the frontlines. | I received a package from yourself and your husband this week I want to thank you very much. Its hard to express how much the Marines and I appreciate your generosity. The boxes were filled with great stuff that really excited the Marines I have them out on long Operations working there bottoms off and when they come in and see the gifts that people they don’t even know are sending them it really makes what there doing worth while. received all 5 packages, i double checked everything with the inventory sheet in each box, and everything matched up perfectly!! wow, thanks a lot for all the gear and everything you guys are doing for us, all my Marines were really happy to get all that stuff, and its already being put to good use! we are still staying really busy out here, and doesnt look like its gonna let up any time soon. but we have no problem with that, makes the time go by a lot faster!! sure has been getting cold though, just 2 weeks ago we were sweting are [tails] off, now were wearing swetshirts and cold weather under armour in our hides. anyway, got a lot of e mails to catch up on, thanks again for everthing, we cant express how much it means to us. thank you!
